I called this his alien suit ;) He looked like he was being treated for radiation exposure or something. It was this tanning bed looking thing (that made him glow blue) to treat his Jaundice ;)
We couldn't take him home until the Jaundice cleared up but Dr. Jiffry (Peter and My pediatrician is now Jamen's too! Small world!) took good care of Crystal and Jamen to make sure they got home Tuesday.
His First Bed:
I spent the morning at the hospital taking care of Jamen so Mommy could pack and shower and then I braided her hair...We have to take care of Mommy too!
His first bottle at home!
He's watching his great grandma's OOooo and AHhh over his Daddy's Army pictures
Hey little buddy!
Oh my gosh he's perfect! He's so beautiful!
Yea yea I get every angle...
With Aunt Lizzie! She's very competitive with me about who holds him more ;) I so do!
Jamen Peter Joseph Martinez FINALLY arrived July 27th, 2008
(after 7 days of contractions and 15 hours of active labor!) A healthy 7 pounds 13 ounces and 20 inches long! Beautiful beyond words! Absolutely perfect in every way!
Crystal is in the early stages of labor as of last night. Mom and I drove her to the emergency room but she's home waiting out the contractions right now until hard labor hits. She could use prayers for her and baby Jamen that they are both safe and healthy throughout this process. She's in a lot of pain and discomfort already and a little dehydrated. From what the doctor indicated in the sonogram it looks like baby Jamen is getting anxious to meet the world soon. And now that Crystal has started labor she is pretty anxious to get this over with quickly and meet her son. Also pray for Phillup and the frustration he has about not being able to be here for the birth. He has a big test in Tech school and may not be able to concentrate knowing the baby is on the way.
We had the baby shower just in time apparently!
(and the army diaper bag has made a great overnight hospital bag so far ;)
